Who is responsible for your information

Astrara is part of Harmonic Waves and is the controller of the personal information described here. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to astrara.info@gmail.com.

What we collect

  • Your name, email address, and order or support correspondence.
  • Birth and reading details, which may include date, time, place, pronoun preference, current location, questions, and areas of focus.
  • Recipient or participant details you provide for gifts, relationship, family, or group readings.
  • Order, payment status, selected products, delivery options, and limited technical information needed to operate and protect the service. Card details are handled by Stripe and are not stored by Astrara.
  • Aggregated or limited site-usage information collected through Plausible Analytics.

Why we use it

We use personal information to:

  • prepare, review, deliver, and support the reading you requested;
  • take payment, issue receipts, manage delivery limits, and prevent misuse;
  • respond to enquiries and waiting-list requests;
  • maintain records required for tax, accounting, dispute, and legal purposes; and
  • understand and improve site reliability and the ordering experience.

The legal bases are performance of our contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating and protecting the service, and consent where the law requires it.

Who processes it

We use service providers for website hosting, payments, email delivery, contact forms, analytics, and secure operational storage. These currently include Vercel, Stripe, Resend, Formspree, Plausible, and cloud database or storage providers used to fulfil and administer orders. They process information under their own safeguards and only for the relevant service.

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where required, transfers are covered by recognised safeguards such as adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections.

How long we keep it

Order and transaction records are kept for as long as needed for fulfilment, support, accounting, tax, and legal obligations. Reading inputs and fulfilment files are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to prepare, deliver, recover, or support the order. Enquiries and waiting-list details are removed when they are no longer needed.

Gift and third-party details

If you provide information about another person, you confirm that you are entitled to provide it and have told them how it will be used. Their information is used only for the reading and its support.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your information, and to withdraw consent where consent applies. Email us to make a request. We may need to verify your identity.

If you are in the UK and remain unhappy after contacting us, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
